# Store Intelligence: store revenue, customers and products

> What Analytics → Store Intelligence shows about your whole Shopify store: store revenue, orders, AOV, new and returning customers, repeat rate, customer segments, top categories, top products and products bought together.

**Store Intelligence** shows how your whole Shopify store sells: revenue, orders, customers and products. It counts the orders of your whole store, not only the orders that TextYess brought. Open it in **Analytics → Store Intelligence**, or go to [https://ai.textyess.com/store-intelligence](https://ai.textyess.com/store-intelligence).

The page has three tabs: **Revenues**, **Customers** and **Products**. For the revenue that TextYess brought, see [Performance analytics](/analytics).

## When Store Intelligence shows in your menu

**Store Intelligence** shows under **Analytics** in the sidebar when your store runs on Shopify and your Shopify store is connected to TextYess. Stores on other platforms do not have this page. If you open the page without access, TextYess sends you to **Analytics → Performance**.

To connect your store, see [Integrations](/integrations).

The page reads your full Shopify order history. Under the title, the line "Based on your full Shopify store data, available from" gives the date of the first order that TextYess has from your store.

## Choose the time range in Store Intelligence

At the top of **Analytics → Store Intelligence**, choose **6m**, **12m** or **All**. The page opens on **12m**.

* **6m** and **12m** count back from today: "Showing data from the last 12 months (rolling from today)".
* **All** shows all the history that TextYess has.

Most cards and charts follow the time range. These use each customer's full history, so the time range does not change them:

* **Days Since Last Order**
* **Customer Segments**
* **Repeat Purchase Rate**, which always shows 12 months

Monthly charts can start and end with a part of a month. Store Intelligence counts days in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).

## Store Intelligence Revenues tab

The **Revenues** tab in **Analytics → Store Intelligence** shows what your whole store sold in the time range.

* **Store Revenue**: the gross order total at checkout, before refunds, in your store currency. Cancelled, test and voided orders do not count.
* **AOV**: Store Revenue ÷ number of orders.
* **Orders**: all orders, without cancelled, test and voided orders.
* **Revenue Trend**: store revenue for each month.
* **New Customers per Month**: customers whose first order was in that month.
* **AOV Over Time**: the average order value for each month.
* **New vs Returning Orders**: an order is **New** when it is in the same month as the customer's first order. All other orders are **Returning**.
* **Time to Second Purchase**: the days between the first and the second order, for customers whose first order is in the time range. The line above the chart gives the share of customers with only one order.

## Store Revenue compared with the revenue on the Performance page

**Store Revenue** in **Analytics → Store Intelligence** is the revenue of your whole Shopify store. It includes orders that came without any help from TextYess.

**Revenue** in **Analytics → Performance** counts only the orders that TextYess attributed to a campaign, an automation, an email or a chat. On some Performance tabs, the line "of total revenue" compares the two.

Store Intelligence has no 90-day option. To see store revenue for whole months, read the bars of the **Revenue Trend** chart on the **Revenues** tab. The last bar is the current month, so it is not complete.

## Store Intelligence Customers tab

The **Customers** tab in **Analytics → Store Intelligence** shows who buys from your store.

* **Customers**: customers with at least 1 order in the time range.
* **Avg Customer Value**: Store Revenue ÷ unique customers.
* **Repeat Rate**: customers with 2 or more orders ÷ all customers in the time range.
* **Purchase Frequency**: how many customers placed 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5+ orders in the time range.
* **Days Since Last Order**: all your customers by the days since their last order, counted from today: **0-30d**, **31-60d**, **61-90d**, **91-180d** and **180d+**.
* **Repeat Purchase Rate**: for each month of first orders, the share of customers who ordered again within 90 days. The chart shows 12 months. The most recent 3 months are not in it yet, because those customers have not had 90 days.

## Customer Segments in Store Intelligence

The **Customer Segments** chart is on the **Customers** tab of **Analytics → Store Intelligence**. It groups your customers by recency (how recently they bought), frequency (how many orders) and spend. TextYess gives each customer a score from 1 to 5 for each value, compared with your other customers. The three scores decide the segment of each customer. There are 11 segments.

* **Customer share**: each cell shows the segment's share of customers and its number of customers. The color shows the next action: **Reward**, **Nurture**, **Onboard**, **Re-engage**, **Win back**, **Urgent** or **Inert**.
* **Revenue**: the total that the customers of each segment spent.

Click a segment to highlight it in both charts. Point to a cell to read what the segment means. Segments use each customer's full purchase history, so the time range does not change them.

## What each customer segment means

These are the 11 segments in **Analytics → Store Intelligence → Customers**, with the action that the color shows:

* **Champion** (Reward): buys recently, often, and spends the most.
* **Loyal** (Reward): buys regularly with solid spend.
* **Potential Loyalist** (Nurture): recent buyer with growing frequency.
* **Promising** (Nurture): recent buyer who has not bought much yet.
* **New Customer** (Onboard): just made their first purchase.
* **Need Attention** (Re-engage): below-average recency and frequency.
* **About to Sleep** (Re-engage): about to become inactive.
* **At Risk** (Win back): used to buy often, now fading.
* **Cant Lose Them** (Urgent): big spender who has not bought recently.
* **Dormant** (Inert): has not bought in quite a while.
* **Hibernating** (Inert): no activity for a very long time.

## Store Intelligence Products tab

The **Products** tab in **Analytics → Store Intelligence** shows what sells.

* **Products Sold**: products with at least one unit sold in the time range.
* **Items Sold**: all the units sold in the time range.
* **Categories with Revenues**: categories that had revenue, at the level that you choose.
* **Group by**: **Department**, **Category**, **Subcategory** or **Product type**. The page opens on **Subcategory**.
* **Top Categories by Revenue** and **Top Categories by Customers**: the 10 largest categories.
* **Category Breadth**: how many different categories each customer buys from.
* **Top Selling Products**: the 10 products with the most revenue, with **Revenue**, **Qty Sold** and **Unique Buyers**.

The category charts leave out products that have no category. In these charts, the time range selects the customers who ordered in it. The revenue is all that those customers spent in each category.

## Frequently Bought Together in Store Intelligence

On the **Products** tab of **Analytics → Store Intelligence**, **Frequently Bought Together** lists up to 10 product pairs. The two products of a pair were in the same orders in the time range.

* The overlap is the share of customers who bought either product and also bought both.
* Each pair also shows how many orders had both products.
* A pair needs at least 2 orders together. Larger stores need more orders for a pair to show.

The pairs with the highest overlap come first. They show products that your customers like to combine, for example for a bundle.

## How fresh Store Intelligence data is

**Analytics → Store Intelligence** is not live to the second:

* New orders reach the store totals, the customer counts and the products about every 15 minutes.
* **Customer Segments** and **Days Since Last Order** update about every hour.
* The category charts update about every hour.

While you move between pages of the dashboard, the page keeps its figures for up to 2 hours. Reload the page in your browser to load the latest figures.

## Why Store Intelligence numbers differ from Shopify

**Analytics → Store Intelligence** can show totals that are different from your Shopify reports:

* Store Revenue is the gross total at checkout. Refunds do not lower it.
* Cancelled, test, voided and expired orders do not count.
* **Store Revenue**, **AOV**, **Orders** and the customer figures count only orders that are linked to a Shopify customer. The **Revenue Trend** chart counts all orders.
* Days follow UTC time, so an order near midnight can fall on another day or month.
* A new order takes up to about 15 minutes to show.

When a chart has no data, it shows "No matching data from Shopify".
