# AI campaigns: WhatsApp campaign ideas built from your store data

> Use AI campaign suggestions and Draft with AI in Campaigns → WhatsApp: who can use them, review an idea, choose audiences, edit messages, create drafts, discount codes, review, schedule and send.

AI campaigns are WhatsApp campaign ideas that TextYess builds from your store data. Each idea has one or more audiences and a drafted message for each audience. Nothing is sent until you review the drafts and send them. AI campaigns are for Shopify stores only, and they must be turned on for your store. Each AI draft becomes a normal WhatsApp campaign, so all the rules of [WhatsApp campaigns](/campaigns/whatsapp-campaigns) apply to it.

## Who can use AI campaigns

AI campaigns are for Shopify stores only. They also need to be turned on for your store.

* When AI campaigns are on, [Campaigns → WhatsApp](https://ai.textyess.com/campaigns) shows **Campaigns, now with AI** and a list **Suggested by AI** above your campaigns. **Create** then offers **Draft with AI**.
* When they are not on, the sidebar of a Shopify store shows **Campaigns → AI Campaigns**. This page shows **AI campaigns · invite only**. To ask for access, click **Book a 15-min onboarding call**.

Stores that are not on Shopify do not see AI campaigns. They create campaigns with **Create** in **Campaigns → WhatsApp**.

## How AI campaigns work

The **How this works** panel of AI campaigns gives four steps:

1. **Reads your store**: orders, browsing, RFM, returns and reorder windows.
2. **Spots opportunities**: a few high-value campaign ideas, ranked by expected revenue.
3. **Each idea = several campaigns**: the idea is split into audiences, each with its own draft message.
4. **You review and schedule**: nothing sends until you approve.

The data sources that an idea uses show on the idea page, for example purchase history, cart activity, campaign performance and your product catalog.

## Review an AI campaign suggestion

In [Campaigns → WhatsApp](https://ai.textyess.com/campaigns), the list **Suggested by AI** shows the ideas for your store. Each row shows the number of recipients and audiences. Click a row to open the idea. The idea page shows:

* **The insight**: what the AI found in your data.
* **The approach**: what the campaign does.
* **Select audiences**: the audiences of the idea, with the number of contacts.
* **Performance forecast** and **Suggested send**.

To read the full analysis and its sources, click **View all reasoning**. To go back, click **Back to campaigns**.

## Draft an AI campaign from your own goal

In [Campaigns → WhatsApp](https://ai.textyess.com/campaigns), click **Create**, then click **Draft with AI**.

1. Describe your goal, for example "re-engage customers who haven't ordered in 3 months with 15% off bestsellers".
2. Under **Audience size**, select **Let AI suggest it**, or **Choose it myself** and enter at least 100 contacts.
3. Click **Generate drafts**.

A new row shows in **Suggested by AI** with "Analyzing your customer base…". When the idea is ready, it shows in the list. If the generation fails, the row says "Generation failed — please try again." Click **Dismiss** and try again.

## Choose the audiences and edit the messages of an AI campaign

On the page of an AI campaign idea from **Campaigns → WhatsApp**, go to **Select audiences**. Each audience becomes one WhatsApp campaign.

* Select or clear the box of each audience. The page shows how many contacts you selected.
* Click **Audience** to see **Selection criteria**, **Data sources used** and **Why this segment**.
* Click **Message** to see the drafted message and **Why this copy angle**.

To change a message, click **Edit**. In **Edit message**, change the **Message**, the **Button text** or the **Button link**. The **WhatsApp preview** shows the result. Click **Save message**.

## Change the send time of an AI campaign

On the page of an AI campaign idea from **Campaigns → WhatsApp**, the **Suggested send** card shows when the AI suggests to send. To change it, click the date, select a day and a **Time**, then click **Done**.

The send button of the idea follows this time. If the time is in the future, the button is **Schedule for** and the time. If the time already passed, the button is **Send now**.

## Create the drafts of an AI campaign

On the page of an AI campaign idea from **Campaigns → WhatsApp**, select the audiences and click **Create drafts**. A progress page opens. For each audience, it shows **Tagging customers in Shopify**, **Building contact list**, **Creating draft campaign** and **Ready**.

You can leave the page. The work continues, and the idea shows **Creating drafts** in the list. To build each audience, TextYess adds a tag that starts with "ty-ai-" to the customers in Shopify and creates a Shopify segment from it. Each audience then becomes a WhatsApp campaign with the status **Draft**. If an audience fails, the page tells you how many segments failed.

## Add the suggested discount code to AI campaign drafts

Some AI campaigns are written around an offer. Then the drafts page of the idea in **Campaigns → WhatsApp** shows a card, for example "Add 15% off with the code SPRING15".

* Click **Create the code**. TextYess creates the discount code in your Shopify store and adds it to every message of the batch. If the code already exists in your store, TextYess uses it.
* Click **Not now** to keep the drafts without a code.

If some drafts are no longer drafts, the card tells you to open the others and add the code.

## Send AI campaign drafts to review, then schedule or send

On the page of an AI campaign idea from **Campaigns → WhatsApp**, the main button follows the drafts:

1. **Submit N for review** sends all drafts to Meta review.
2. **Waiting for WhatsApp approval…** shows while Meta reviews them.
3. **Schedule for** a time, or **Send now**, starts the approved drafts.
4. **Scheduled** or **All campaigns sent** shows at the end.

In the campaign list, the drafts of one idea show as one group row. **Approve all** on that row sends all its drafts to Meta review. Each draft is a normal WhatsApp campaign. Open it to edit it, send a test, or send it alone. See [WhatsApp campaigns](/campaigns/whatsapp-campaigns).

## Chat with Atlas about an AI campaign

On the page of an AI campaign idea from **Campaigns → WhatsApp**, click **Ask Atlas**. The panel **Chat with this campaign** opens. Ask Atlas to explain the strategy, rewrite the copy, suggest a better send time, or drop an audience.

Atlas changes the campaign directly. Ask it to undo a change if you do not like it. For more about Atlas, see [Atlas](/atlas).

## Discard or restore an AI campaign suggestion

In [Campaigns → WhatsApp](https://ai.textyess.com/campaigns), a suggestion that you do not want can leave the list **Suggested by AI**.

1. Click **Discard** on the row.
2. In **Discard this suggestion?**, click **Discard**.

To bring it back, click the line under the list that counts your past suggestions, for example "2 past suggestions". Then click **Restore** on the suggestion. The past suggestions also show the ideas that you already turned into campaigns, with the badge **Used**.

## AI campaign forecasts

The **Performance forecast** on the page of an AI campaign idea in **Campaigns → WhatsApp** estimates the **Revenue**, the **ROAS**, the **Conversion** and the **Audience**. To see how TextYess calculated it, click the info icon next to **Performance forecast**.

A forecast shows only when there is real data behind it. If not, the card says "No forecast for this campaign yet — we only show one when there's real data behind it." A forecast is an estimate, not a promise. After the send, read the real results on the **Results** step of each campaign.
