The Growth Tool Kit is in the main menu of TextYess, at ai.textyess.com/growth-tool-kit. Its tools bring shoppers from your store and your social media to WhatsApp, collect subscribers, and give discount codes. Each tool has a card. To set up a tool, click the button on its card.

Why a Growth Tool Kit card is locked or missing

Some cards in Growth Tool Kit need WhatsApp or a Shopify store:
  • WhatsApp chat bubble, WhatsApp button on product page and WhatsApp link stay locked until you connect WhatsApp. Their button shows a lock and the hint “Connect WhatsApp to set this up.”
  • Back-in-stock button, Popups, Newsletter footer and Unique discount codes show only when your store is on Shopify.
  • Widget brand style is always available.
To connect WhatsApp, open Agents → WhatsApp Integration. This menu item shows only while WhatsApp is not connected.

WhatsApp chat bubble on your website

The WhatsApp chat bubble is a round WhatsApp icon in a bottom corner of your store pages. When a shopper clicks it, a small box opens with your message and a button. The button opens a WhatsApp chat with your business number.
  1. Open Growth Tool Kit. On the WhatsApp chat bubble card, click Set up the bubble.
  2. Set the colors, the position and the texts.
  3. Click Install. TextYess saves the settings and shows the code snippet.
  4. Click Copy, then paste the snippet in your theme.
Install guides: Shopify and WooCommerce. You can also edit the bubble in Agents → WhatsApp Agent → Appearance. The bubble is not the AI chat on your website: for that, see Onsite agent.

Change the chat bubble colors, texts and position

  1. Open Growth Tool Kit. On the WhatsApp chat bubble card, click Set up the bubble.
  2. In Chat bubble appearance, set Bubble color, Bubble content color, Position, Box background color, Box text color, Call to action button color and Call to action text color.
  3. In Message customization, edit the Widget message (up to 200 characters), the Call to action text (up to 50) and the Default message (up to 200).
  4. Click Install, then click Copy.
  5. In your theme, replace the old bubble snippet with the new one.
The colors, the position and the texts are written in the snippet. Until you replace it, your store shows the old bubble. To save the bubble, your plan must include WhatsApp. If it does not, TextYess shows an upgrade window.

What the chat bubble default message does

The Default message of the chat bubble is the text that WhatsApp types for the shopper after they click the button in the bubble box. The shopper can change the text and decides whether to send it. If you leave the Default message empty, the chat opens with no text. The default message is the same on every page that shows the bubble. The chat bubble cannot add the product name or the page address. To mention the product that a shopper looks at, use the WhatsApp button on product page. On its setup page in TextYess, click Insert product name next to the Default message. The button that you add in the Shopify theme editor then shows the name of each product.

Show the chat bubble on the left, without text

To move the bubble to the bottom-left corner, open Growth Tool Kit → WhatsApp chat bubble. In Chat bubble appearance, set Position to Left. Click Install, then replace the snippet in your theme. Before a shopper clicks, the bubble shows only the WhatsApp icon, with no text next to it. The click opens a box with your Widget message and the call to action button. You cannot turn off this box, and the Widget message cannot be empty.

Translate the chat bubble texts

The chat bubble texts follow the language of each store page. TextYess translates the Widget message, the Call to action text and the Default message automatically. To use your own words in one language, open Growth Tool Kit → WhatsApp chat bubble. In Message customization, select the language. See Localize your WhatsApp bubble.

Remove the chat bubble from a Shopify store

TextYess has no switch that hides the chat bubble. To remove the bubble, delete its code from your theme:
  1. In Shopify admin, open Online Store → Themes.
  2. On your current theme, open the … menu and click Edit code.
  3. Open the theme.liquid file.
  4. Near the end of the file, immediately before </body>, find the line that starts with <textyess-bubble-widget. Delete this line.
  5. Above it, find the <script> line that loads textyess-widget-components. If no other line in the file starts with <textyess-, delete this line too.
  6. Click Save.
On WooCommerce, delete the same lines from the file where you pasted them.

Why the chat bubble does not show on your store

The chat bubble shows only on pages that load its code snippet. Make sure that:
  • The snippet is in the theme that is live on your store, in theme.liquid, immediately before </body>.
  • You clicked Save after you pasted the snippet.
  • You pasted the snippet again after you changed or replaced your theme.
If the bubble shows but WhatsApp does not open, make sure that WhatsApp is connected in TextYess. The preview in the dashboard is only a sample, so do a test on your store.

Remove “Powered by TextYess” from the chat bubble

When a shopper opens the WhatsApp chat bubble on your store, the box can show a “Powered by” line with the TextYess logo. There is no setting in the dashboard that removes this line. To ask about it, contact TextYess support.

WhatsApp button on product pages

The WhatsApp button on product page puts a WhatsApp button near the Add to cart button. The button opens a chat with a message about the product. To set it up, open Growth Tool Kit. On the WhatsApp button on product page card, click Set up the button. On Shopify, you add the button in the theme editor with no code. On other platforms, click Install with code and paste the snippet. See Product page WhatsApp button. The WhatsApp link opens a WhatsApp chat with your business number. Use it in your social media bio, in emails or in newsletters.
  1. Open Growth Tool Kit. On the WhatsApp link card, click Create a text link.
  2. Optional: in Default message, type the text that WhatsApp fills in for the customer.
  3. Click Generate link.
  4. Click the copy icon next to the link.
The customer decides whether to send the message. TextYess does not save the link. When you need the link again, generate it again.

Back-in-stock button

The Back-in-stock button shows on a product page when the selected variant is sold out. The shopper gives a WhatsApp number. When the variant is back in stock, an automation sends the shopper a WhatsApp message. This tool is for Shopify stores. Open Growth Tool Kit. On the Back-in-stock button card, click Set up the button. The Setup tab has the automation and the install options. The Waitlist tab shows the shoppers who wait for each product. See Back-in-stock button installation.

Widget brand style for store widgets

Widget brand style sets one look for the TextYess blocks in your Shopify theme. You set the Accent color, the Corner radius, the Button style (Solid, Outline or Pill), the Text scale and Custom CSS.
  • The newsletter footer uses all of these styles.
  • The back-in-stock block uses the accent color, the corner radius, the button style and the text scale.
  • The WhatsApp button on product pages uses the corner radius, the button style and the text scale. It keeps its own colors.
  • The chat bubble and popups do not use these styles. They have their own design settings.
Open Growth Tool Kit. On the Widget brand style card, click Set the style. Then click Save changes. Your store widgets update within a minute.

Popups

Popups show a popup, a flyout or a banner on your Shopify store. A popup can collect WhatsApp numbers and emails, give a discount code, or announce a sale. Open Growth Tool Kit. On the Popups card, click Create a popup. See Popups. The Newsletter footer adds a sign-up form to the footer of your Shopify store. It collects emails, WhatsApp numbers or other contact details. Your store has one footer sign-up form.
  1. Open Growth Tool Kit. On the Newsletter footer card, click Set up the footer sign-up.
  2. Build the form in the Design tab.
  3. In the Settings tab, choose the contact list in Where subscribers go. Then write the Success message.
  4. Click Publish in the top bar.
  5. In the Settings tab, click Open Shopify Theme Editor and add the TextYess block to your theme. Then save the theme.

Quizzes

Quizzes ask shoppers a few questions and recommend products. Quizzes are not available on every account. The Quizzes card shows in Growth Tool Kit only for Shopify stores that have quizzes turned on. See Quizzes.

Unique discount codes

Unique discount codes creates a discount in your Shopify store and gives each customer their own code. You use these codes in automations, emails and popups. This tool is for Shopify stores. Open Growth Tool Kit. On the Unique discount codes card, click Create discount codes. See Unique discount codes.
