TextYess connects to your online store, to your helpdesk and to your marketing tools. The dashboard has no single integrations menu: each integration has its own page. This page lists every integration, what it does and the page where you connect it.

Which store platforms TextYess connects to

When you sign up, TextYess asks Which platform is your store on?. The options are Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and Other.
  • Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento connect to TextYess, and TextYess syncs your products and orders.
  • PrestaShop is not an option at signup. See “Connect a PrestaShop store” on this page.
  • Other is for a store on any other platform. TextYess then has no connection to your store.
Each organization connects to one store platform. You cannot change the platform in the dashboard. To change it, contact support from Help → Contact support.

Connect your Shopify store to TextYess

  • New to TextYess: install the TextYess app from the Shopify App Store. Then create your TextYess account. With this install, Shopify bills your TextYess plan.
  • You already have a TextYess account: log in to TextYess. Go to the Shopify setup page (open) and select Install the App. If TextYess asks for your Shopify store name, enter it and select Continue to Shopify.
The store name is in the address of your Shopify admin, after admin.shopify.com/store/. It is not your website address. If you already have an account, do not install from the App Store: that install can create a second organization. To add a second store on purpose, see Account, team and settings.

What TextYess syncs from Shopify

  • Products: all your products when you connect, then every new product, change, deletion and stock change.
  • Orders: every new, paid, fulfilled, updated and cancelled order, at once.
  • Customers: your whole customer base when you first connect. A large store can take hours. Then every new customer, change, deletion and marketing consent change.
  • Shopify segments: you can use them as smart lists. See Lists and segments.
  • Abandoned checkouts: TextYess checks for them every minute while an abandoned checkout automation is active.
The AI agent uses only active products, and it does not recommend products that are not available.

Features that work only with a Shopify store

Some features need a connected Shopify store:
  • The email channel (Campaigns → Emails).
  • AI Campaigns.
  • Store Intelligence in Analytics.
  • In the Growth Tool Kit: Back-in-stock button, Popups, Newsletter footer and Unique discount codes.
  • The WhatsApp agent tools for order tracking and checkout links.
  • Shopify segments as smart lists in Contacts → Lists & Segments.
Stores on WooCommerce, Magento or other platforms do not see these features.

Connect your WooCommerce store to TextYess

Go to the WooCommerce setup page (open), Connect Your WooCommerce Store.
  1. Select Download Plugin. In your WooCommerce dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Install the .zip file, then select Activate Plugin.
  2. Enter your Shop URL.
  3. In WooCommerce, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and add a key with Read/Write permissions.
  4. Enter the Consumer Key and the Consumer Secret, then select Connect WooCommerce.
If the plugin is not installed, TextYess shows: “TextYess WooCommerce extension is not installed.” For details, see WooCommerce onboarding and WooCommerce troubleshooting.

What TextYess syncs from WooCommerce

  • Products: all your products when you connect, then every new product, change and deletion. A product with the stock status “on backorder” counts as available.
  • Orders: every new and updated order.
  • Abandoned checkouts: TextYess reads them through the TextYess plugin while an abandoned checkout automation is active.
The AI agent uses only published products. Drafts are not used.

Connect your Magento store to TextYess

Go to the Magento setup page (open), Connect Your Magento Store.
  1. Enter your Shop URL.
  2. Enter the Username and Password of a Magento user.
  3. Select Connect Magento.
The Magento user must have at least these permissions: Magento_Catalog::categories, Magento_InventorySalesApi::stock and Magento_Sales::actions_view. See Magento onboarding.

What TextYess syncs from Magento

  • Products: TextYess downloads your enabled and visible products when you connect and when you resync the catalog. Product changes do not arrive at once.
  • Orders: TextYess checks for new orders every 5 minutes. Orders from before the connection are not imported.
  • Abandoned checkouts: not available for Magento.

Connect a PrestaShop store to TextYess

PrestaShop is not an option when you sign up. A PrestaShop store connects with the TextYess module. To connect a PrestaShop store, contact support from Help → Contact support. TextYess imports only the active products of a PrestaShop store.

Use TextYess when your store platform is not supported

If you selected Other at signup, TextYess has no connection to your store. You can still:
  • Add your products in Agents → Knowledge Base, on the Product Catalog tab: select Download CSV Template, fill it in, then select Upload CSV.
  • Add the chat widget to your website with a code snippet.
Order tracking, abandoned checkouts and other features that read your store data are not available. See Knowledge base.

Resync your product catalog from your store

If products in TextYess do not match your store, go to Agents → Knowledge Base, open the Product Catalog tab and select Resync Catalog. The button shows when your store is connected.
  • TextYess downloads your catalog again and updates the products.
  • You can resync once a day.
  • A resync does not remove products that you deleted from your store.
See Knowledge base.

Connect your WhatsApp number

Campaigns, automations and the WhatsApp AI agent need a WhatsApp Business number. While your number is not connected, the sidebar shows Agents → WhatsApp Integration. Open it and select Connect now. You need an active plan or a free trial. See Connect WhatsApp. To change your WhatsApp profile, see Change your WhatsApp profile photo and description.
